Woman Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash

Today a woman was sadly killed in South Los Angeles. It was a single-vehicle accident. According to the authorities, there were three people who were injured in the accident.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred near the Central Avenue and East 124th Street. It happened around five after one this morning.

The coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter confirmed the victims of the crash was twenty-three year old Barbara Caldwell of Los Angeles.

The California Highway Patrol report said that Barbara Caldwell was riding in a car that was driven by the 22 year old Compton woman. The woman was taken to the hospital for her moderate injuries. However the other two women passengers who were twenty-three and twenty-five years old had suffered from major injuries and were transported to the local hospital for treatment.

The preliminary investigation showed that a 2002 Chrysler was going southbound on the Central Avenue when it had started going out of control for “unknown” reasons. The car then crashed into a tree, according to the California Highway Patrol. The exact cause and circumstances of the accident have yet to be determined and the crash is still under investigation.
